Q: I’m looking for a price on the latest version of Microsoft ISA server. Thank you.

A: Many more products are available through the REMC Bid than are listed in the catalog. For example, we have available the complete line of Microsoft software. See REMC Items 66510-66512 for additional details.

CDW-G is REMC’s Microsoft reseller. You can call or e-mail CDW-G for REMC pricing on ISA server or any other Microsoft software product that is not listed in the REMC catalog.

Q: I would like to purchase Microsoft Office for the MAC. I see that the most updated version in the catalog is 2004. Does REMC have the newest version available for MAC?

Office 2008 for Mac is available through the REMC Bid. We are working with our Microsoft reseller, CDW-G to update the product numbers and pricing. In the meantime, you can contact CDW-G for additional information.

The latest version of software is generally available through REMC, although it may not yet appear in the catalog. If you know that a new version of a product has been released and you don’t see it in the REMC catalog, please call the reseller to check availability and pricing. We appreciate it if you also let us know so that we can update the REMC catalog.

Q: Can you provide more descriptive names for product specification sheets so that I can tell by the file name what the product is?

A: Specification sheets are named for the REMC Item Number of the product that the sheet represents. If you would like to rename the PDF, use the following procedure:

1. In the REMC online catalog, right click on the link to the specification sheet and choose the “Save” option.

2. When the Save As dialog box opens, browse to the directory in which you want to save the specification sheet.

3. Name the file whatever you wish and click “Save” or “OK.”

Q: I get the error “There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found” when I try to open the PDF catalog. How do I fix this?

A: This error appears to occur with older web browsers. Try updating to the most current version of Internet Explorer, Firefox, or whichever browser you use.

If you are unable to update your browser, try the following:

1. After clicking on the link for the catalog, the “File Download” window opens.

2. Click “Save” instead of “Open.”

3. Choose a folder in which to save the file and click “Save.”

4. Browse to the folder in which you saved the file and double-click the file to open it.

If you continue to have difficulty, first check with the technology support staff for your location. If you continue to have problems, please let us know.

Please remember that products and pricing change throughout the year. As soon as you save the print catalog, it is out of date. The online catalog is always up to date and includes many value added features. The new search engine makes it much easier to search than in the past.

Q: I like the FAQ on the front page but how do I submit a question?

A:  Click on the Feedback Link or send directly via e-mail to remcbid@inghamisd.org.  All questions will be answered.  Some of the question will posted in this section if we think it would be helpful for other REMC customers to know.

Q: How do I use the selection cart and place my order?

A:  REMC has a downloadable demo on how to setup and utilize the selection cart feature of this site.  Order placement remains direct with the vendor.  You should follow your districts order procedure to place the order with the vendor.  This site will not send your order to the vendor but will organize multiple products and print them by vendor.
